This past Saturday, March 29, 2025, Malabo's seafront promenade was filled with energy and solidarity with the celebration of the 5th Solidarity Race for Autism. This event, part of the World Autism Day activities, was not only a symbol of inclusion and awareness, but also a demonstration of the commitment of Equatorial Guinean society to people living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
Among the main promoters of this initiative was Sonagas GE, whose involvement was key to making the event possible. From the very beginning, the company showed its commitment to the cause, not only through its contributions, but also with the active participation of representatives such as Maribel Nsing Ela Ada, Lourdes Oyana Ntugu Nchama, Clotilde Tuku Bokiro, Angelina Bang Nsue, Ana Raquel Meha, Natividad Envoro, Mónica Sima, Julia Zang, María América Micha and Marisol Masie, who, on behalf of the General Directorate, shared this experience with the community, transmitting a message of support and hope.
The event was also attended by the Minister Delegate of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mining Development, Domingo Mba Esono, reflecting the institutional support for these types of initiatives that seek to raise awareness of TEA and ensure a more inclusive environment for those who experience it daily.
From Autismo GE, organizers of the race, a deep gratitude was expressed to
All the participants and collaborators who made this edition a success. The solidarity demonstrated by Equatorial Guinean society reaffirms the commitment to continue promoting activities that foster inclusion, respect, and equal opportunities for people with autism.
The 5th Autism Charity Race left a clear message at every step: inclusion is everyone's job. Thanks to the involvement of companies like Sonagas GE and the support of the community, we continue to move toward a future where every person with ASD has the support and visibility they deserve.
